Video so first I’ll say that yes I think Wix is amazing I think it’s one of the best website Builders out there especially if you want a very professional looking website without spending a lot of time or needing to know how to create a website right probably watching this video because
You’re deciding between Wix maybe some other website Builders as well as using WordPress and I’ll say WordPress while it has a lot of great functionality it is quite complicated to use right there’s a lot you need to learn and for a lot of beginners they get pretty fed
Up with how long it takes and they go straight for a website builder something like Wix Wix is not the cheapest platform out there but I will say it’s probably one of the most premium website Builders you can find so first let’s talk about cost right let’s go over the
Pricing for the different Wix plans and the really great thing about Wix is that they actually have a free plan that’s correct it’s 100 free but of course it’s missing out on a lot of features the main one being able to connect a custom domain to that website they have three
Different paid packages the first one starts at 16 per month then you have the core package at 27 per month and the business packages start at 32 dollars per month for most of you guys watching this I’ll say the lights and the core plans are going to be appropriate for
You if you do the math it’s two 300 400 per year now instead of hiring a website developer and going through that whole process you can just do it yourself and save a lot of money if you’re starting out I’ll say the light plant is probably good enough for you you get two
Collaborators you get two gigabytes of storage space and you also get a free domain for the first year once you move to the core plan this is where it gets a little bit more interesting you can have five collaborators you get 50 gigabytes of storage space you still get the free
Domain but you get some ad features such as e-commerce ability and for the business plan you get 10 collaborators 100 gigabytes of storage space which is pretty much unlimited and you can upgraded version of their eCommerce platform so yeah I’m trying to make a website but also sell things then maybe
The business plan is better for you but if you’re trying to make a personal website I’d say just go with the flight plan now let’s talk about some of the biggest benefits and why so many people choose to actually use Wix the first being that they have so many templates I

Get a plan so no matter what type of business you’re trying to make or what type of website it could be a person little website a resume portfolio e-commerce store whatever it is they’re going to have templates for that the great thing also is that for each of
These templates it comes with the correct apps installed right so for example if you’re trying to create a store Wix knows okay this person is going to try and do e-commerce we’re going to automatically install these apps which you will need to have anyways all these templates have the desktop
Version they have a mobile friendly version they’re all really optimized for the user experience as well as speed in terms of customizing your websites I’ll say that Wix is super super strong because their website builder is insanely easy to use it’s essentially drag and drop you don’t need to know any

It out I guarantee you you will know how to do it if you’re also trying to sell things I really like wix’s eCommerce functionality they are super easy to use they look great and they actually make selling things online extremely easy so this could be a really great alternative
To using Shopify however I will say that if you are trying to go the full e-commerce route right like you’re trying to build a whole brand that’s based on selling things then Shopify might be a better choice because it’s literally designed only for online stores Wix is also really cool because
They have a very wide range of apps that you can install on your website a lot of these apps are actually created by third-party developers you can install them add them to your website and take advantage of all this added functionality for a lot of website
Builders a big part in which they fall short is actually SEO right with WordPress we can actually do a lot of things with SEO but with website Builders generally it’s a little bit tougher but I’ll say that Wix is very good at this they have a great SEO
Setting section and yeah Wix is actually going to generate an SEO checklist for you automatically and when you have that checklist I encourage you guys to actually go through it and actually do them that’s going to help out your SEO a lot a lot of people also don’t realize
That Wix is an all-in-one tool they have so many different built-in tools that you get when you sign up for one of their plans for example you can create invoices you can actually edit videos using their video editor you can do email marketing so they have a tool that
Actually allows you to create email campaigns you can create social media posts you can actually create automations as well and if you’re a data nerd and you like to look at analytics they are very very good at that they have a ton of different analytics that you guys can see within your dashboard
If you’re an absolute beginner and you want a website super super fast I will say that they have a great AI website builder as well you literally just put in some information about your website and they’re going to choose the templates plugins all that stuff and build a foundation for your website now
Let’s talk about some of the cons and the first one is probably going to be pricing right Wix is not the cheapest website builder out there there are cheaper ones such as hostinger but there is a reason why it costs more Wix is not a basic website builder it’s a really
Advanced and premium website builder that a lot of professionals can use and so that really is why it’s priced more aggressively or higher than other website Builders beyond that I’d say maybe the only other con is that their free plan is pretty worthless yes you can start building your website but you
Know you can’t have a domain there’s so many features that are included so I’d say maybe that is a thing that they could be more clear about you really do need a paid plan if you want to take advantage of Wix and create a usable good website overall I think it’s a
