Tutorial Hosting

Welcome to the SiteGround cPanel Tutorial

Hey guys, how are you doing today? This is Wally with Cheap Hosting Leader Comm, and today we’re going to be doing a quick SiteGround cPanel tutorial. If you want to know what you’re getting with SiteGround before you get started, this tutorial is for you.

What is SiteGround cPanel?

As you can see, I am logged in to my back office or cPanel, and it looks like this. This is a glance of what you can expect when you gain access to your cPanel with SiteGround. You can see all the tools that you get, including WordPress, Joomla, and other CMS platforms, as well as Drupal.

Choosing the Right Plan

What I recommend you do if you haven’t done it already is to go to the SiteGround website and choose the plan that’s right for you. They have three plans to choose from: the Startup plan, which allows you to host one website, and is ideal for bloggers or small business owners who just want to host one website. The Growth Big plan, which is what I have, allows you to host multiple websites and has additional features. The Go Geek plan is for more advanced users who need more control over their website.

Getting Started with SiteGround

Once you’ve chosen your plan, just go ahead and click the "Get Started" button and follow the prompts. It takes about ten minutes to set up your account, and you’ll receive an email from SiteGround saying that your account has been activated. You’ll also find a link in that email that allows you to log into your cPanel.

Navigating the cPanel

As you can see, the cPanel has different tabs, including Home, My Accounts, Support, Billing, Referral Deals, and Resources. You can also add different services to your account, such as domains, subdomains, and FTP accounts.

Adding Domains

If you want to add a domain to your account, you can simply click on the "Add Domain" button. You can type in the domain name you want to add, and it will create an FTP username and password for you. You can also generate a password for yourself, but make sure it’s strong and secure.

Adding Subdomains

If you want to add a subdomain, you can type in the subdomain name you want to add, and it will automatically populate the root domain. You can also create a password for the subdomain.

Redirects

If you’ve never done redirects before with SiteGround, it’s very simple. You can do it as a permanent or temporary redirect. Just type in the domain you want to redirect to, and select whether you want to redirect with or without the www prefix.

Email Accounts

You can also set up unlimited email accounts with SiteGround. Just click on the "Email Accounts" tab, and you can create a new email account. You’ll need to create a password for the email account, and you can also embed the email account on your website.

Conclusion

That’s it for this quick SiteGround cPanel tutorial. I hope you found it helpful in understanding how to use and maneuver through the cPanel. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the comments section below. Thanks for watching, and I’ll catch you guys on the next video.
