In this video i’ll show you how you can connect a domain to your wix website without having to pay for a wix plan now i must say this isn’t a perfect solution but if you just want your domain that you’ve already got to then redirect to your wix website then this video will
Help you do that so i’m going to use this website here as an example i’m going to get domain to redirect to this website so i’m going to click select and edit site and what you first need to do is make sure your website is completely published
With a wix sub domain so just go to edit site here then once you’ve done that make sure you publish your site by clicking publish and then what you need to do is copy this url so just click select control a sorry select it all and copy it
Now with this copied we can now go to your domain so you may have brought a domain or you may have a domain on a different website now in my case i use namecheap to buy my domains so i’m going to log into my namecheap account so once i’m on namecheap and
I’ve logged into my account i can go to my account and then go to dashboard and we can see all of the domains i’ve brought so here are some of my domains now i’m going to show you how you can link these domains together with namecheap with this get fusion cache example
So once you’ve brought the domains with namecheap you want to go to domains or your dashboard here view the domains and go to manage you can also do this with any other domain registration company like godaddy or siteground or really any other website that allows you to buy domains
I’m just using namecheap for the example and again if you want to get your domain through namesheet the link will be in the description so once you’re on the backend of your domain you need to scroll down and make sure name sheet basic dns is selected
And here what we’re going to do is we’re going to redirect our domain to our website now again this isn’t going to be perfect you’re not going to be linking the two together you’re just simply going to be redirecting your domain to your website this isn’t
Going to be good for ranking in google and the search engine but it is going to be good if you just want a basic website and you just want to get a nice link to it maybe you want to put that website onto your facebook profile so once you’ve done that you
Want to click add redirect and here you need to enter in your source url so my source url is getfusioncash.com but whatever your domain is you want to type it here so i’m going to type get fusioncash.com and then in the destination url you just want to paste in your website’s url here
And then click tick you want to do this twice so you want get fusioncash.com then you also want www.getfusioncash.com so essentially you want your website without the www and with the www and again paste in your wix site url here and then click the tick and now you’re all set up
Now when people go to get fusion cache it should redirect to our wix website now this isn’t going to happen immediately it might take 10 to 15 minutes maybe sometimes it even takes up to two hours i’m just gonna try it now it may work it may not
