Hi there i’m sanjana from saleshandy and today we’ll be looking into dmarc configuration so what exactly is dmarc dmarc stands for domain based message authentication reporting and conformance dmarc is a form of email authentication that helps email service providers to prevent hackers and the spoofing of an end user’s domain
This form of email authentication is very very important so when an organization creates a dmarc record their domain is protected and this boosts email deliverability and security so when your domain is dmarc protected it has already gone through certain betting checks so this helps your email reach the rightful recipient in their
Primary inbox so now i know you’re probably wondering how can i set up my own dmarc record so in this video i’ll be showing you how exactly you can do that so go to this url over here and you can find this url in the description below
And this page will open up so key in your domain name and for the purpose of this video we’ll be using our own domain click on submit so as you can see over here it says your dmarc has not been recorded and spf i know you’re probably wondering what that
Is spf refers to a sender policy framework it is another form of email authentication that restricts who can send emails from your domain so for the purpose of this video i will only be showing you how to set up your dmarc so click on dmarc over here and then click on next
Click on next again click on next again so on this particular page you can key in the email addresses you want your dmarc and spf reports to be sent to so click on next over here and then you can click on next again so on this particular page right this
Step is completely optional these are basically just settings you can tweak as for your liking so you know once you have selected the desired settings you can click on finish so finally you have this txt code and you can copy this particular code into your dns manager once you have copied
This particular code into your dns manager you have successfully set up your dmarc record so once you’ve set up your dmarc record you want to verify that it has been recorded right so you can check it from this page itself you can just click on check
And it gives you this little tick mark over here and it says congratulations so your dmarc record has successfully been recorded so this is how you set up your dmarc record i hope this video was a huge help to everybody see you next time
