Siteground Review – Nobody Talks About These Details?

Hey y’all it’s timothy sparks back again with another video today we’re checking out siteground now siteground is a web host i’ve seen a lot of people shilling on youtube i’m not sure why uh because i do think it has some pretty big downfalls uh let’s go ahead and talk
About some of my opinions there i mean some things aren’t really so much opinions just like things that it doesn’t give you um when purchasing siteground so for looking at their website you know at first glance it does seem to be good you get free ssl however
It does lack some things that other web hosts do give you out of the box uh for example like we don’t see any free domains here we don’t see any free domains included with this subscription which is kind of a bummer we also don’t see any free whois protection which means that you’re
Going to have to pay the premium to upgrade that just to have domain privacy we see other uh providers like even squarespace dreamhost and some of those other ones out there providing free domain privacy but siteground does not they decide that they want to make you
Pay more so you’re not only paying more for that domain that you could get free with other web hosts you’re paying more for free domain privacy not only that but their refund policy is not 97 days which is what you can get with dreamhost siteground is a standard 30-day refund
Policy which isn’t bad but i just wanted to mention that since the benchmark is 97 days since a web host is able to achieve that that’s what sets the benchmark if we’re looking at some of the things i would like siteground to include it would be free malware removal it doesn’t
Include that and makes it a paid up chart as well so ultimately i don’t think siteground is the best value if we’re talking about speeds and some of those other things it’s going to be fine most of the big web hosts nowadays have decent speeds they’re going to be similar across the board
Reviews that focus entirely on speeds and stuff like that are mostly just trying to push you in a specific direction to buy a specific product making some web hosts slower and other ones faster here in the channel we’re only looking at observable characteristics of a web host unfortunately siteground does
Pretty well in most of the other aspects they’re decently cheap for you know a web host not a bad price just like i said you don’t get something things included that you should um in terms of the web builder they do include weebly weebly is the web builder they include
It’s not really directly here but i did did some digging around for the video and it was about to find they do weebly so you could build a website with weebly so it’s nice to see they include that at least for free in terms of transferability should be fine here and
They do include free migrations which is pretty nice and a lot of web host to provide that nowadays so that’s good they do have backups and stuff like that as well but if we’re looking at the original ownership and reputation fortunately those are salt they’re it’s owned by the original owners and
Siteground does have a pretty solid reputation overall so is siteground a web host i recommend well it gets 6 out of 10. there are other web hosts that could get 8 out of 10 in my opinion siteground is lacking in some of the value proposition it should include free domain privacy
Should include a free domain it should have better malware removal in terms of being included within if it could do those things it would be a top-rated web host here on the channel but unfortunately there are other web hosts who do it better take dream host for example it gives you free whois
Protection free domain and in 97 day respond squarespace for example gives you a free host protection and a free domain and free ssl too and it has probably a better site builder than um siteground so guys if you’re curious on which web host i recommend check out web
