Review: SiteGround Web Hosting – Is it Still Worth It?

Hey guys, so uh, SiteGround has made some interesting improvements and changes to their pricing, and the question comes up: do I still recommend them for creating websites online for beginners? That’s what we’re going to be talking about today in this brief video review.

SiteGround’s Pricing Update

For this channel, I’ll be providing an update on the pricing of SiteGround’s web hosting, especially for those who want to create a website with them for the first time. As with any web hosting provider, updates and changes will be made periodically, and with that comes our decisions. Recently, SiteGround made some improvements to their infrastructure and back office, which have made it easier to manage your websites online.

The Three Plans

Before, when I initially got started with SiteGround, I started with their Grow Big plan. You guys have noticed that they have three plans: Startup, Grow Big, and Go Geek. The names of these plans haven’t changed, but what has changed is the pricing itself. Just to give you an idea, if you’re looking at this video review for the first time, you’ve never dealt with SiteGround in the past or created anything with them, the Startup plan itself previously had a promo of $3.95, but now it’s at $6.99. The Grow Big plan was at $5.95, but now it’s at $9.99 per month, and the third tier, which is for higher volume websites with up to 100,000 hits per month, is now $14.99 per month, versus the $11.95 that it was before.

Is it Worth It?

The question comes up: is it really worth it? There are a lot of web hosting providers out there, and as a blogging entrepreneur, I’m sure you guys can identify with this. For me, what really matters most is cost and affordability, customer support, and security. Are these three main avenues that matter most to me when I think about selecting a web hosting provider to create an insight on? Yes, they are, and I think that SiteGround overall meets all of these requirements.

Customer Support and Security

SiteGround has amazing 24/7 customer support, and they have amazing security to block against malware and hackers. As a beginner getting online, what you should know and understand about web hosting and in particular SiteGround is that when you get started today, you want to know and understand that these rates that you’re looking at right now are what are called promo listings and promo rates. This means that when you lock in today, you get started today with SiteGround, and you lock in for a longer period of two or three years, you save a lot of money on the both the front and back end.

Regular Pricing

Once that term ends, then it’s going to revert back to the regular pricing, which is usually around $10 more or less. For example, a2 hosting, which I’ll drop a link below, also uses a similar pricing structure. Most web hosting providers when the web hosting term renews itself, you know after the year or two years, they normally run roughly about $10 more or less.

Conclusion

Overall, do I still recommend using SiteGround for 2020 going forward? Yes, I do. I think they’re a great all-around web hosting provider that would be ideal to help you put your WordPress website or blog online. Just keep in mind that when you purchase web hosting not only with SiteGround but with any web hosting provider out there, you definitely want to purchase more of it up front because if you don’t, when it renews, it’s going to be really expensive.

Recommendation

If you’re currently hosting with another web hosting provider and you want to migrate from them over to SiteGround, they do have a 100% free site migration, so they’ll move your website over to their platform for free. It takes a headache out of doing that if you’re with a provider that you don’t like. I do recommend using SiteGround going forward. Um, you just want to think about as I mentioned before, price can be a deterrent for some people. If you’re a beginner online and you’re looking for something cheaper, I’ll leave some highly recommended web hosting providers right below the descriptions portion.

Final Thoughts

I just wanted to do a quick video just to give you guys an update of what SiteGround offered previously versus what’s going on right now. Web hosting continues to increase across the board with different web hosting providers, but I think what you really want to think about and consider is does that web hosting provider still provide the value that validates that increase? I think that SiteGround does that, and for that reason, I still recommend them. Guys, get started today using the link below, and it’ll save you up to 60% off of your web hosting today. As always, guys, I hope you so much success in your endeavors of creating websites online and also success in your businesses for 2020 going forward. Take care, and if you haven’t done so already, hit the subscribe button that way the next video we’ll see you guys.
