Hey guys it’s ray here with dedicated server hosting hq today we’re going over namecheap and uh mostly targeting the dedicated server options that they just added to their site they i mean they’ve always had dedicated servers but they’ve just been like two choices and it’s been pretty weak on
Both price costs you know add-ons and stuff and now they seem to be actually hitting it pretty hard and being able to offer some serious dedicated servers um as you know namecheap is a pretty popular name in the hosting world they mostly cater to people that want shared
Hosting you know wordpress sites that are pretty basic and just or small businesses stuff like that they’re a great company amazing support on their shared hosting i actually use them for my shared hosting and it’s always been amazing i mean i’ll start up a live chat
I’ll get hooked in with someone in two minutes and they’ll help me whether it’s a stupid issue with wordpress that i should be able to figure out but they’ll take the time and go above and beyond to make sure it actually works which is i always appreciated i’m so happy they
Offer dedicated servers now they’re reasonable costs and they’re pretty awesome they’re kind of hidden away i mean this is their front page on namecheap right here and as you can tell dedicated servers no no okay we don’t see them but if you go under hosting there it is dedicated
Servers so they’re not super advertising them but they have now beefed up what they are so it’s pretty cool um they got the 1240s full set you know with sata sata and ssd drives available decent price 99 for one terabyte drive on an e3 1240 eight gigs is a pretty decent price
Considering you are getting a one gigabit band or a port for your 20 terabyte bandwidth that’s pretty awesome now they they’re great deals on all their stuff but i had a couple complaints um if you go through ordering and okay you have to go through all this
Crap just to see what they do so we’re now a.com yes continue that’s me perfect but a palette you see you can’t you can’t really edit stuff i mean so i mean you have to go with the next option on there i mean it’d be nice if they kind of made it
So you could do it i’m sorry i apologize i was lied to on their on their advertising is that a one gigabit standard i guess i was wrong 100 megabytes standard 10 bucks per gigabit 20 bit 20 terabyte bandwidth but you get cpanel um you don’t get wh mcs
Um none of that fun stuff you got soft keyless the other thing is i know a lot of people want windows operating systems not going to happen we got centos ubuntu damien and cloud linux support said they plan on doing it someday but not right now they got two management options basically managed
We’ll go over those in detail in a little bit billy oh wait i was wrong they just hit it wh mcs they have it there you go perfect raid no raid standard and you can’t get unmetered bandwidth that was the other thing that bugged me about them i did request specifically for support
Hey what if i wanted they’re like no we don’t do that i’m like okay so there you go two ips you have to request special from support and you have to give a reason which is pretty normal so excuse me all right so they got the 1240s they got
The 1270s and they got the e5s as well all the way up to the 2620s they don’t have any of the 4600 or 46 000 series um those are usually for your higher end providers are way more expensive i mean those things go for like 1300 bucks a month to two grand a
Month or something but for what you get the prices are very reasonable and you can’t really complain too much on it um now now becomes unmanaged standard or basic manage i guess i should say see this is where they lied to me see it says three one gigabit port public private ipm so

Basic stuff what’s cool is we’ll do the free operating system install on cpanel reinstallation now like with versaweb who i host with as well for dedicated servers they’ll charge you 25 bucks for reinstallation of your operating system so if you mess something up 25 bucks kind of deal unless you do their
Management plan now if you go with their basic which is managed or whatnot you get all the root access plus you get the monitoring service and you get core service support which is uh apache you know mysql ftp cpanel dns so it really covers them most of it um if you
Want support for like wordpress and drupal and any other application whmc you need to get the fully managed package and if i mean if you’re not comfortable doing it yourself fully manage where it’s at um and like i said their support is awesome i mean i only use them for the shared hosting
But my goodness their support is awesome that’s probably why i keep recommending them um they also accept bitcoin which is a big thing now for a lot of people so if you’re into the bitcoin deal they got you covered they got you covered all right so that’s namecheaps basic offerings um
Complaints on the other side not too much i i really think that namecheap’s gonna be hitting and big here i i do hope they uh they they’ll uh allow you to get unmeter ports that’s a big thing for a lot of people and uh they fix this documentation
Because it’s supposed to be one gigabit on everything but apparently it’s not cost 10 bucks more i’m going to pull up the review on my site and see if i could type oh my god boom pull that up now i got that as a choice just because i love them so much um
Data center locations phoenix dallas and atlanta but if you noticed under their billing platform you could not switch data centers so i when i asked support about this they said just contact us and we’ll take care of it i’m not sure if they plan on adding that feature
Or drop down menu to their billing platform but right now it’s not there so hopefully soon it gets added support live chat it’s awesome network so they don’t offer ddos protection was another thing that came up so i asked him and this is what eugene said

If you’re looking for maybe a cheaper budget provider because you want completely unmanaged there’s check the website out there’s tons of providers up there that are already reviewed ready to go for you but i mean their hosting packages are insane like i do i do the 13.1 one
