Purchasing domain names is perfectly fine, but many webmasters, including myself, advise against their web hosting. GoDaddy is probably the biggest name in the industry when it comes to domains and web hosting. You've probably seen their commercials on TV before. They offer you the following services: Shared Hosting VPS Hosting Dedicated Hosting Email Accounts SEO Services Website Builder PPC Management At first glance, their prices are pretty cheap compared to other web hosting companies. Many webmasters started with GoDaddy, but when they saw that the service was poor, they left the company. Did you know that GoDaddy actually has over 750 negative claims against the company with the Better Business Bureau? They supported censorship of the Internet (SOPA) and eventually changed their stance when a number of major brands began boycotting their service. In the past, their old CEO Bob Parsons killed elephants for personal reasons but tried to give the appearance that he was helping villagers in Zimbabwe. Not to mention, GoDaddy has used sexist advertising to achieve its success. I do not recommend you do business with GoDaddy, and neither do many other webmasters.
