called Wix that helps to build websites
the reason I’m so excited to share this
with you is because I have always been
afraid to create my own site I am amazed
at how easy and fun it was so let’s get
started
I consider the Wix platform to be user
friendly there are many features that
help to create the website more
efficiently for instance there is a wide
range of template choices the menu bars
are at the top and also on the side for
easy navigation for editing purposes the
drag-and-drop feature is very effective
the backgrounds can be changed with
their color the image and adding videos
you can preview the site as you create
editing features of the font the size
and the resize of the text boxes is very
quick and easy elements can be animated
the setting choices are for auto play
for pacing and looping for making the
website appear to be more effective apps
can be added as well as your site can be
adapted to your mobile device after
logging into www ix calm you will be
brought to this home page if you are a
first-time user click on get started
setting up your account or signing in is
very easy through Facebook Google+ or
your email account once your account is
established you can begin to create your
website here have in mind the kind of
website you want to create and make the
appropriate selection here
this is a great feature that Wix
provides you decide either allow Wix ATI
to help you create your own website or
create your own website with the Wix
editor I chose to build my own
once you have decided the kind of
website you want to create you’re
provided many templates to choose from
you have the option to first view it
before making that final selection one
thing to keep in mind though after you
publish your website you cannot go back
and edit the template that you selected
this is the template that I chose the
category is community and education I’m
creating website to provide at home
tutoring you will notice the top menu
bar lists the web pages on the sidebar
is where the editing takes place the
first tab is called site menu this is
where your pages are listed you can add
delete or make changes by clicking on
any page
the next tab provides many backgrounds
for you to choose from have fun here and
use your creativity with changing the
color add your own image and/or video
the third tab called add text gives you
many choices to choose from just click
and highlight and your print will be
changed accordingly to your liking the
Wix app market tab brings you to a world
of apps to help you personalize your
website again keep personalizing your
website this tab takes you to where you
can add images videos fonts documents or
single tracks and what amazes me is it
is so quick and easy to do
of course vlogging is so important to
keep your visitors more engaged so why
not set it up here on this tab and the
final tab is called bookings manager
you’ll want to explore this in more
detail to make the best choice for you
if you want added features to make
payment purposes this might entail
upgrading your website from a free plan
to a payment plan these are the premium
Wix plan options if you are planning on
upgrading if your business continues to
grow
so will your plan I started off with the
free plan once my tutoring business
continues to grow I am planning to
purchase the unlimited plan for $19.90
per month so here’s my very first
website it’s called succeed with Sally
once I’m ready to begin tutoring I’ll
change a phone number as well as publish
it this is a continuation of the first
page I included and referenced an
article on differentiated instruction
and on the right sidebar
I added real-time current events at the
bottom of the first page I added thick
Tisha’s testimonials but this place will
be used once my business is up and
running notice that the top menu bar

cons I love the platform the pros are

it meets the needs of basic users the
cons might be that the template cannot
be changed once your website is
published there are other plans though
that you could upgrade to that is costly
this is better suited also for larger
businesses when you purchase the plans
and there is no live chat try it give
Wix a chance I know that I’m not
disappointed
