You get a lot of powerful features, but if you have problems, the cost may be higher than you thought. First, the Go Daddy website is a huge, complicated collection of advertising and worthless junk mixed with the crucial controls you need to operate the products you purchase. It's so confusing that support staff often can't even find their way around it. When you make any kind of purchase, Go Daddy hits you dead with the question, “Would you like to add this garbage for just $99.99 per year?” Go Daddy seems to be the most pressured and pushy sales monster in the web hosting industry to be. If you are very tech savvy and know your way around a web server system, this might be fine. If you plan to rely on your hosting provider for quality support and information, forget GO DADDY. The stress and headaches you get from seeking support quickly become a major problem if you are unable to figure it all out on your own. I have been with Go Daddy for many years now and have no plans to leave as their systems are recognized across the internet and generally work quite well over the long term. The problems arise when you have a problem that doesn't fall into the brain-dead help files that the staff endlessly cite in their support responses. Sifting through all the nonsense and job denial they display could drive you completely crazy if you don't already have good technical skills yourself. In summary, Go Daddy has great systems at good prices, but their business ethics are borderline poor and their support system for paying customers absolutely SUCKS.
