Godaddy Website Builder Review 2022
Tutorial Hosting
you know go ready for their domain and
web hosting but what about their website
builder is it up to the mark
if you have checked out godaddy’s
website lately you will notice that it’s
not the same go daddy you might be
familiar with with the hip modern design
and a brand new logo go ready has
clearly moving with the time that also
means a newly revamped website builder
which they now call website plus
marketing their previous version was
just a little too restrictive so let’s
see what’s improved in the latest
release
first let’s see what it takes to set up
a website it turns out the process super
easy you just select the type of
websites you want to create and give it
a name and voila you have a website
ready for you to start at let’s start by
changing the theme godaddy will suggest
a number of designs based on your
website category while the designs
aren’t exactly revolutionary they are
all mobile responsive all your editing
takes place in the website tab the
previous version of godaddy’s website
builder didn’t give you a lot of control
over layout but we have happiness but we
are happy to see that you now have a few
more options for displaying here while
it’s not a drag and drop editor you do
have the freedom to shuffle sections up
and down this gives you a good amount of
flexibility without compromising on ease
of use thanks to auto save features
you don’t have to worry about losing
changes you can also preview what your
website will look like at any time on
both desktop and mobile let’s take a
quick look at this setting tab as there
are few as there are few interesting
things you can access your site history
which will let you restore previous
backups of the site you can also insert
tracking from google analytics or social
media and even at fav icon but here’s
one area we think godaddy could do a lot
better if your site is on go daddy’s
free or basic paid plan your seo options
are limited to just page title and
description but and even if you have and
even if you upgrade to a higher plan you
will still not be able to edit some keys
seo elements such as blogs seo settings
etc etc now let’s not forget about their
new marketing features it’s great to see
that godaddies have made some big
improvements to the blog including the
ability to add categories enable
commenting and schedule posts however
you can’t embed your own html or add
elements such as tables which is a bit
there are
there are also some handy add-ons to
boost the functionality of your site
which are mostly free to use these
include an appointment scheduler to let
customers look book one-on-one
appointment
with you with you on a paid plan you can
receive payments for your events online
even at reoccurring in addition there’s
a built-in email marketing tool which
comes with a few templates and a simple
drag and drop email editor to help you
send campaigns directly from your
website
we have shown you what good ideas
website builder can do so the next
question is how much does it cost well
if you only want a basic site and don’t
need your own domain name their philip
their free plan will work perfectly fine
and while their gps plan is the basic i
would recommend going for the standard
plan or higher that way you get full
access to their seo features if you need
more options for schedule appointments
and event and a higher email send limit
premium would be the plan to go for
if you want to add an online store you
need an e-commerce however keep in mind
that the site builder like shopify or
wix such as stronger e-commerce
capabilities for a similar price
go daddy’s brand new website builder is
a big improvement on the previous
version it’s easy to use and gives you
good level of control over layout their
site history feature is not something
you see in a lot of website builders but
i have very handy for ease but it is
very handy for restoring previous
versions of yours they also provide a
solid arsenal of add-ons tools such as
email marketing and appointments at no
additional cost however seo is
definitely not strong suit it’s a
mission it’s missing it’s missing some
important options for optimization it’s
also lagging an app store which might
not let build a website with of all
functions you need finally if your
website is built on one of godaddy’s
previous versions there is no
there is no way to transfer it to a new
version so let’s hope
so let’s hope there is better so let’s
hope there is better support if they
decide to overhaul it again in the
future thanks for watching go daddy’s
website builder review if you need more
info don’t forget to check out the
in-depth review and that’s it for today
